Detroit Union Carpenters and Millwrights Skilled Training Center
The Detroit Union Carpenters and Millwrights Skilled Training Center is 147,000 square feet with 125,000 square feet of training space. The training space includes a 30-booth weld shop, flooring manipulation area, high bay space for carpenters and millwrights with an overhead crane and state-of-the-art classrooms with smart board technology. This means that all of our members will be better able to cross-train in any craft we teach, making our members the highest skilled workers in the industry. In addition to training space, the building offers meeting space for contractor symposiums, career fairs, and apprenticeship readiness programs.
